Katherine Gorge Cruise

On Saturday 2nd July Pete and Mal and their families left for Darwin. We had a few quiet days until Tuesday 5th July when David and I were booked to do the Katherine Gorge Cruise.   It was a perfect day (warm and sunny) for a couple of hours on the water in the Gorge.   We were even lucky enough to see about 4 fresh water crocodiles during the cruise.  There are some pretty spectacular cliffs too.

Aboriginal name for Katherine Gorge.

In the afternoon we called in to the Katherine Museum for a tour.  Lots of old stuff from the area on display there.

Museum piano (loving tender care needed please!!)

Some of Galloping Jack's treasures.
