Kakadu National Park - Part 5

Friday 15th July we called at Mamukala Observation Hide.  An observation platform allows you to view the birdlife on the wetlands.  We continued on to South Alligator for lunch - a pretty little place with not much more than a fuel station, which sells a big range of essentials, and the Aurora Kakadu Resort.  Just out of Darwin we called at Fogg Dam to view the birdlife on the Dam and the surrounding wetlands.  David took some really good photos of the birdlife.    We arrived in Darwin about mid afternoon and took about two hours to find a caravan park with some vacancies and that had a nice feel about the place.   Eventually we found Lee Point Resort and Caravan Park close to the beach and only a few km's from Darwin.
