Button Mania Hits 'Eagle Park'

It all started with a search for two dark buttons for cats eyes on the cute little bag Deb was making for her grand daughter Lacey.  The large bag of used buttons from Vinny's Boutique was emptied onto the kitchen bench and the search began - eventually the 2 buttons were found.    But the search didn't stop there - Oh No - some more interesting buttons were found, 'buttons with writing on', metal buttons, mother of pearl buttons, shaped  buttons, wooden buttons, pretty buttons, ordinary buttons.  The search continued for many hours throughout Friday 8th by Deb and me but when the men arrived around  tea time the mania really took hold - Russell even joined the sorting process!!!!  Even David couldn't help getting involved too.  After receiving the sorting instructions from Deb he was on a roll - Russell was a goner - the button mania had him. (I'm a bit worried that next he will be cutting up material only to sew it all back together again in a different pattern)!!!   He was even given a book about it all so he can understand what all the different patchworking terms mean!!!!    After many hours of sorting we have many different heaps of sorted buttons, and Deb is still in the process of quick unpicking the bits of material off the back of many of the buttons yet to be sorted.

Buttons - unsorted and sorted into special important heaps!!!

The mania takes hold!!!

And it's spreading to the whole household and the visitors!!!
