Lee Point Village Resort is a really nice spot close to the ocean so we feel right at home here and we have the van parked beside a very large tree that gives us great afternoon shade. David has even bought a hose sprinkler and is watering the grass around our van. We saw others doing it and noticed the big difference a patch of green lawn around the van makes.
On Saturday 16th July we decided to drive around Darwin on a sightseeing trip - David because it is 37 years since he was here and me because I have never been here. We checked out the main city centre and the wharf precinct (a beautiful part of the city). We came across the sign for the Botanical Gardens so decided to go for a wander around them - after seeing other botanical gardens in Townsville and Cairns the Darwin garden was a bit disappointing but I guess it is the dry season up here and they would be very different in the wet season. In fact a lot of the city is dry and dead looking.

I guess Darwin has been a trip down memory lane for Dad!! Does he recognise a lot of places, or has too much changed?
