The Border Crossing

On Saturday 25th June we pulled out from our free campspot at 8am, stopped at Camooweal for morning tea then not long after Camooweal we crossed the border into The Northern Territory.   It was the first time I had been into the Northern Territory so was a big deal for me.   Now we had Katherine and Cracker Night (on 1st July) in our sights and there was no stopping us!!!!   We were also museumed out from past towns so it was Katherine here we come!!!!!    We stopped for lunch at Frewena Rest Area  (117 km west of Barkly Homestead Roadhouse) and stayed the night at a camp behind some bush near Newcastle Waters.
