Monday 20th June we headed into Longreach - first stop Kinnon and Co booking and information office. We decided to book to see Kinnon's Starlight Spectacular Show (a live comedy show about Harry Redford, which was really great), Cobb and Co Gallop Thru the Scrub Stage Coach Ride with tea and scones after, then cruising on the Paddle Wheeler along the Thomson River with a 2-course beautiful drover's tea around the campfire afterwards and entertainment from a barefoot poet/story teller and finished off the night with billy tea and damper.
Tuesday 21st we did the School of the Air tour (which we found really interesting), Stockmans Hall of Fame (and the live show there) and the Powerhouse Museum.
Wednesday 22nd we did a tour of the Qantas Founders Museum and the tour of a 747.

ReplyDeleteYes Longreach - we enjoyed most of what we did there, but it would get very expensive to keep that up in every town. Kinnon and Co. really do a great job with their tourist events. We also get a lot of enjoyment out the changing landscape as we travel-amazing how much it changes and I spot the different wild flowers too.
