Wave Rock

Wave Rock is one of the places that I really wanted to see on our 'Cruisin Aussies' trip so there was never going to be a better opportunity than when we were at Williams - even though still a fair distance away.    Alan and Ruth were with us and they had never been to Wave Rock either so it seemed like the perfect opportunity for us all - so on Tuesday 8th November the four of us headed off in our car to check out the rock.  It was a very very windy day but despite that and a road trip of 460km (return) it was a great day with lots of fun and laughter mixed in with an incredible sight!!!  Well worth the time and effort.   Amazing!!!

One of the towns on the road to the Rock - the sign says it all!!!!!!

Caroline and Marco - Hyden

Russ and His Bus - Hyden

STOP STOP!!!!  of course most trips require being on the lookout for wild flowers - and we found a patch  with a few different ones.

And here it is - impressive!!!    Alan and Ruth - gives some perspective to the size of the Rock!!

Alan did his best - but found it was steeper than it looked!!!

The view from on the top of Wave Rock

Ruth and I in a sheltered spot - it was sssssooooo windy we all had a job to stand up

Not far from Wave Rock was the Hippo's Yawn so we went to check it out and had lunch there while the Hippo continued to yawn!!!
Hippo's Yawn

Alan in the Hippo's Yawn - can you see his tonsils ( the Hippo's of course not Alan's)!!!

At a property gate when we were on our way back to Williams - interesting!!
