Tuesday 3rd January we headed off to Yanchep National Park approx. 60km north of Midland. At the National Park grounds we walked along the 240 metre Koala boardwalk spotting the koala's in their natural environment - they are ssssoooooo cute!!!! We found 10 out of the 11 koalas the park keeper told David were there. We also strolled around the lovely green park area, to the lake and then had lunch in the Chawn Mia (Chocolate Drops) Tea Rooms. Arriving back to the van by 3.00 pm I did a quick trip to the Swan Valley Fresh Markets to re-stock the fridge with fresh vegies and fruit.
The remaining days of the second week dragged by - about as exciting as watching paint dry!!!! It will be good to get back to work, at least there will be something to fill the days until we can head off again, away from the cigarette smoking noisy neighbours, ambulance and police sirens (we are only 300 metres from the Swan Hospital and 200 metres from the Great Northern Highway) and jets landing and taking off overhead (we are close to the domestic and international airports)!!!
